2010
• Trainee prosecutor: SEK 30 000 per month
• Assistant prosecutor SEK 32 000 per month
• Assistant prosecutor (1 year) SEK 34 000 per month
• Public prosecutor (newly appointed) SEK 39 000 per month
For administrative personnel, individual salary setting is employed – the average salary for administrative personnel within the prosecution organisation being approximately SEK 24 000.
State fringe benefits
As an employee of the Swedish Prosecution Authority, you are entitled to receive certain benefits. A certain proportion of medicine and medical care costs are paid for. For parental leave of absence with parental allowance, 10 per cent of the employee’s salary is contributed by the employer. Medical consultation, maternity welfare and corporate health care are available during working hours.
An employee with a child that has not yet reached 12 is entitled to work on a part-time basis.
Working environment
Active working environment and keep-fit activities are conducted within the authority. We also have employees with first-aid education at every workplace. Within the Swedish Prosecution Authority there is a debriefing organization for the purpose of debriefing employees who have been subjected to violence or threats of violence.
The daily working environment activities have been conducted locally at workplaces all over the country.
Keep-fit activities
The investment in keep-fit activities mean that all employees are allowed to spend one hour a week of their working time for keep-fit activities. The Prosecution Authority also subsidises the cost of a keep-fit training card.
At each workplace there is a keep-fit representative who initiates and promotes active daily keep-fit exercises.
